The Moody 31 model was designed by Bill Dixon and built by Marine Projects during late 1985 to June 1991. This vessel is one of the later examples of a Moody 31mkII, commissioned in 1989. The mkII was updated to feature a sugar scoop transom and a forward facing chart table. She has a fin keel and tiller steering, a white GRP hull and superstructure, and was upgraded at the point of original order to feature white/light blue two-tone decks and the optional opening hatch above the saloon table.
