Newtownards Down Ireland
Prelude 19 bilge keel sailing cruiser in GRP with original gelcoat on hull, deck and coachroof.
Manufactured by Rydgeway Marine.
LOA 19ft 3 LWL 17ft Beam 6ft 10 Draught 2ft 3 Weight 800kg
Berths for four below deck in an open plan accommodation with a minimum of 6ft 1 length berths and an equally generous cockpit with lockers port and starboard.
Used as a daysailer on a large freshwater lake, it has been Wintered ashore every year.
Navigation equipment consists of a Contest bulkhead compass, NASA log and echo sounder.
Sails which are in good condition include a mainsail and furling genoa on a Plastimo 406s roller reefing system.
This is a very clean lightly used cruiser that has benefited from fresh water usage and so has not been exposed to the harshness of the normal marine environment. That said, a Prelude 19 is equally at home on the open sea as it is in the confines of a lake or inland waterway system.
This model comes from the same builder as the Van de Stadt designed Pandora 22 and shares similar parts and mouldings but on a slightly smaller scale.
Currently ashore North Down.
