HISTORY
Valkyrie is a Swedish designed bermudan rigged sloop built in 1968. She spent a lot of her early life cruising and racing in the Baltic sea.
In the 1990’s she was purchased and transported to Ireland. She was purchased by the current owners in 2004 and underwent an extensive refit at that time
A new mast was made in 2009 of Oregon Pine and a new solid iroko deck was laid in 2016.
At the time of laying the new deck the boat again underwent a refit- with new beams and strengthening bolts fitted throughout, a new transom and new sheerstrake was fitted along the full length of the boat.
Survey completed following refit in May 2016
