A classic, long distance sailing yacht. We have owned Thisbe for four years and enjoyed every sail with her.
To see lots of pictures and accounts of our recent voyages, please take a look at our sailing blog in the website section. Thisbe took part in the ARC in 2009, crossing from the Canaries to St. Lucia in 21 days. We raced her in the ISORA series and the SORC solo Fastnet.
Thisbe is perfect for short-handed or single-handed sailing, everything in the cockpit is within reach.
4 man liferaft, valid until June 2021
Full EPIRB, valid until June 2021 and Personal EPIRB, both MMSI are linked to Thisbe.
Full set of offshore flares, new and old sets.
ICOM AIS transponder class B,
ICOM vhf radio
Vetus Bow thruster
Boom Roller main sail + spare boom to change back to slab reefing. Main sail is in good condition.
Two anchors, CQR and Danforth.
28HP Beta Diesel engine, recently fully serviced, uses 1.6 litres per hour,
The only repairs needed are to the jib sails and sheets. Thisbe has twin grooves on the jib roller reefer, to allow for a twistle rig, with which she was sailed across the Atlantic in 2009.
Everything else is what you would expect on a cruising boat, eg, gas cooker with solenoid cut-off switch, 70 litre stainless steel fuel tank with cutoff tap, lots of storage spaces.
Many spares and extras are included, too numerous to mention.
