Welcome to Hispaniola!
Completely rebuilt inside over the past couple 5 years, rebuilt engine and gearbox in 2021, and replated everywhere (underneath and outside) in 2014.
THE COOL STUFF:
Unusually High head room — 7 foot! You can jump up and down without hitting your head. Very rare for these.
Replated in 2014, blacking is due, but last one was very good results for plate thickness
Engine completely rebuilt and good Lister ST3 (solid)
Engine bay remade and painted 2021 (It's oily etc now, but the underlying metal is solid and great)
New gutters under engine bay floor boards — really solid large U channeling 2021
Gearbox rebuilt and installed 2021
Same with starter motor
Four 2023 leisure batteries and starter with sterling engine to battery charge (helps maintain batteries longterm)
2x solar power (details incoming) solid system
Large inverter (details incoming)
Heavy duty alternator
New bedroom built with king size bed (special opening setup for storage underneath — have to see it to understand)
Big Bathroom (full size shower, stainless and slate)
Compost toilet for full independence
Open kitchen, big bar
Perfect couch, TV, setup
Reflex Diesel burner for 24/7 heat, super super warm
Mahogany tongue and groove floors, walls, and ceiling - Swedish log cabin vibe
Double glazed windows
Generally high quality fittings and a super good overall boat (great hull, engine, head height, warmth, accommodation, bathroom, kitchen, and fittings) that will certainly be missed.
NEW KITCHEN
gas boiler automatic lighter
Big sinks
Stainless cupboards
12v good size fridge (good brand, details incoming)
Lots of room
Big breakfast bar with retractable table for working / eating
Big and small draws underneath
Bar seats (one great wooden and iron antique one)
BATHROOM
Fully real slate tiled
quality stainless steel fittings
River stone sink
Full size shower with insets
Compost toilet with size for three buckets and LOTS of sawdust (Best system imo — tried many, built this custom and it's my favourite thing about the boat, don't have to use pompous or elsons. So easy. And NO smells)
BEDROOM
King Size Custom folding bed with memory foam thick mattress
Mountains of room underneath, big draws and big empty space for massive stuff
Recently painted. Still more work to completely finish it off. But it's 95%
LOUNGE
Snuggler Couch Leather (Can keep or remove, up to you, cat has gone to town scratching it but it's the most comfortable thing in the world and was like £2000 new. Stupid cat)
Book Shelves
240V TV 32"
coat cupboard
Reflex diesel burner — incredibly hot if needs be, also one of my favourite things. There's a tank outside. Has safety thermal problem which I've overridden for ease. But very simple to fix
WATER:
New 2022 — sometimes overheats? No idea why. Miiiiggght need replacing again
Water tank retanked 2016 with really good tanking paint,
over 750 litres at my conservative estimate.
I last 4 weeks+ living on my own with showers daily before needing refilling
When living with a partner 2 weeks + guaranteed
ELECTRICS:
New batteries in 2023 (will get details, good batteries)
Engine to battery charge Sterling
Good big expensive inverter (details incoming)
Great solar (definitely adequate)
12v USB type chargers all over the place
240V sockets also everywhere
Bright inside lights, very effective and make it seem like a house, rather than dingy old boat
Fans on the compost toilet to eliminate all smells.
PROBLEMS
A few little bits to complete — very small carpentry stuff
Diesel burner safety thermal temp line needs replacing
Will clean engine bay out properly and add photos soon, but otherwise perfect
Windows — some are stuck because of the heat over the years. The three most important ones to open work, other three no luck...
Needs second glaze on the bathroom window to be replaced (might do it myself if I have time)
Very slight rush spots outside, but pretty much surface. Very good steel integrity overall
Overall pretty good condition. Probably most suited to someone with one or two handy skills, like all boats, but almost everything is done so don't need to be too handy. Great first boat, might be someone's perfect second boat.
