Description

Boatshed Wales is delighted to present Shirley Jean, a beautifully maintained 2007 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39 DS. Opportunities to acquire such a well-kept example of this highly sought-after deck saloon cruiser are few and far between- She is currently the only example available in the UK. Privately owned throughout her life, she has clearly benefited from attentive ownership and thoughtful upgrading, and is presented afloat, in commission and ready for her next adventure.

Designed by the renowned Marc Lombard and Vittorio Garroni, the Sun Odyssey 39 DS successfully combines rewarding sailing performance with the light, spacious accommodation that has made the Deck Saloon range so popular. Her bright interior, generous owner's cabins, comprehensive heating system and numerous comfort upgrades make her equally suited to extended coastal cruising or longer offshore passages. On deck, the well-organised cockpit, twin wheels and all control lines led aft make sail handling straightforward for couples or short-handed crews.

This particular yacht stands out thanks to an impressive inventory and recent investment. Highlights include a new Selden in-mast mainsail (2024), low engine hours (approximately 900 hours) on the reliable Yanmar 40hp diesel, an extensive Raymarine navigation suite at both helm and chart table, Gori folding propeller, Eberspächer heating, upgraded battery bank (2023), wind generator, tender and outboard, plus a wealth of practical cruising equipment already aboard. She represents a genuine sail-away package requiring little more than personal provisioning.

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39 DS has earned an excellent reputation for comfortable, capable cruising, and examples presented to this standard rarely remain on the market for long. Shirley Jean is a yacht that has been cared for with obvious pride and offers her next owner an outstanding opportunity to step aboard and start cruising immediately. Early viewing is strongly recommended.
