Carolina was built in 1973 for Sir Winston Churchill MP, the grandson of the wartime PM. She is currently on her way back from Sweden and will be in Lymington from mid-August. Remarks : Owners Remarks: Poppy has been in the family for 22 years. Giving great service and a lot of fun. She was bought as a safe family cruiser, although not fast by modern-day standards, a hull speed of approx. 6.5Knts; she is kind and forgiving and a joy to sail I was quite happy to let my children take the helm in most conditions. Beautiful example of the highly desirable Contessa 32, a cruiser/racer built by Jeremy Rogers to a David Sadler design. This is a 1981 model and has only had 4 owners in her 41 year history.
